Welcome to USA Missions & Scott Brown's page
Missionaries/Ministries

Hello, I wanted to share with you about some of the ministries I have worked with in the past, and hope to support in the future.

The first here is from Jayanta Maity, a dear brother in Christ from India, who also ministers there, along with many in his family. While I was in India, Jayanta led our missions team into many great ministry opportunities. We saw many give their lives to Christ as a direct result from the ministry that the Maity family was doing, and even many gave their lives to Christ while we were there ministering in 1999. Diganta Maity, who is Jayanta's brother, did a lot of interpreting for us, and he also is continuing to faithfully minister the love of Christ in India. Sukanta Maity, another brother, also is faithful in service to our Lord Jesus Christ, as well as Rakhi Maity, their sister. Please keep them all in your prayers, and if God leads you to give to their ministry, or to contact them, or pray for them, please do so! May God bless you. Feel free to visit Jayanta Maity's site at www.facebook.com/IndiasOrphans to learn more and/or support him. To see more about Diganta Maity, you can go to http://www.house-of-revival.org/ and I'm sure they would appreciate your prayers, as well as praying for the children and others they minister to in Kolkata (Calcutta) and in the village of Pratapdighi.

The abundant grace of God for me, by: Jayanta Maity

My name is Jayanta Kumar Maity born in 1961 and brought up in a strong Hindu family.  I have 3 brothers ,1 sister and I am the eldest.  where I have learned from my childhood to worship idols, trees, Sun, animals, stones & our ancestors. We have 330 Millions (33 crores /Indian term) of Hindu gods & goddesses to worship in a whole year.  I had question from my childhood why there are so many gods & goddesses? My parents told me that because Hindu religion is the oldest religion in the world so we must have billions of gods.  But some how I was not satisfied with the answer.

When I was reading 4th grade in our history book there was mentioned that Jesus had to die on the cross.  I thought myself so many great men in the world died, but no one died on the cross but why only Jesus has to die on the cross ?  I asked my History teacher but he couldn’t reply with the satisfactory answer.  One day in the village market I found some young people distributing booklets about Jesus and I got some booklets free and I eagerly bought a new testament also.  As I was going through the gospels I understood the mystery, why Jesus had to die on the cross.  Because of my sin He has to pay the penalty though he was not a sinner but creator of the world, came down from the Heaven as a human being and sacrificed Himself. So I can be free from the bondage of sin & have a new life.

On my bed it was late night, I have repent & confessed my sin and invited the Lord Jesus Christ to cleanse me from my sin & accept me as His child.  He did touched me & given me a new life and I have accepted Him as my personal Savior.  Then I have promised to Lord Jesus Christ that as long as I live in the world I will serve Him because, what He has done on the cross for me.  Later on I have taken water baptism by a local Pastor, with great joy & happiness then I have returned home with a gift of Holy Bible in Bengali language and I was so joyful.  One of the village elder met me on the road & asked me why I was so happy as I was explained him that I was sinner & accepted by the Lord Jesus Christ.  Then he told me that Christians will feed me the beef then I will be the real Christian.  I wrote to that Pastor that I will not be Christian any more because I do not want to eat beef and if, he will visit me ever I will break his leg.  After that he never visited me and I sold out that Bengali Bible of Rupees 25/- and all the literature to the grocery shop so shop keeper will tear every single page & sell spices with it.

After that, day by day I felt very sad, lost my joy and there is no hope for me.

Again Lord Jesus touched me in my dream that I should accept Christ but not the religion.  Early morning I traveled to meet Pastor & I asked him, I am sorry, please forgive me.  But he told me Pastor & his Church members were praying for me for months and they were sure that I will return to Jesus one day. Now a days I love eating beef. Ha Ha.. but I do love Jesus as my heavenly father & best friend.

To grow spiritually and the opportunity of serving the Lord Jesus Christ I have joined with Youth With A Mission & worked for 10 years.  Presently I have planted a Church where I have born & brought up in a Hindu community and set up a govt. registered Christian Organization named “Pratapdighi Calvary Welfare Society”.  From our Church members 10 of them are serving the Lord Jesus Christ full time through different Missions.  By God’s grace I shared the gospel & won for Christ to my Hindu parents, two brothers and one sister. Lately they came to know the Lord & accepted Him as their personal savior and my two brothers and sister they are serving the Lord full time.  PRAISE GOD. Victory is belongs to our Lord Jesus Christ.  Appreciate your prayers for me & our ministry is reaching Hindus & Muslims in different way of ministries.  Thank you.

Praise & Prayer letter

Mathew 19:14  Luke 18:16  Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these

Dear Scott,

Greetings to you in the name of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, from West Bengal, India.  But praise God, because of your prayers & financial support God is using me & my team to extend His kingdom here in the villages of India among Hindus & Muslims to reach the LOST.

CHILD IN NEED :“CHILD IN NEED” Holistic Child development through sponsorship program Anjali (Child care worker)  has been working at completely 2 Hindu colonies (1st village named Bastia, where 19 Hindu families are living (8 children get help) & 2nd Village named Dal Olua, where 12 families are living (6 children get help) & poorest of the poor, where land is belongs to the govt. and  all the houses are made of mud wall & thatched roof. Family heads are Rickshaw pullers and wives are maid servant.  Anjali has been tutoring their children to educate poor & needy children. Pratima (Child care worker)  is reaching 2 tribal village (Chandanpur & Telipukur) people are poorest of the poor, living on govt. land & only source of income of piggery.

After much prayer we could launch a loving, Church based  child development through sponsorship program for the poor & needy, abandoned, oppressed, abused & high risk children.  By Sponsor a needy child for US $20 a month with assistance in the form of food, clothing, medical care and education, not only that every sponsored child will experience God’s unfailing love through that they will accept Jesus as their Personal Savior.  The children have the possibility of breaking loose from the circle of poverty.

We felt the surrounding area is desperately in need of God’s love and care. Since the parents are mostly un- educated, involve as a day labor & begging doesn’t think the value of children’s education. So children are neglected, as a result higher rates in school drop out.  We also discovered presently girl children are vulnerable at risk. The slogan, children are the great leader of the future. They are like flowers, with love, care and guidance can bloom and bring fragrant beauty in the community. Thus they can be a strong fulfilled Christian with great influence in their neighborhood.  If you are interested I will send you the Child’s documents & each child’s photo for sponsorship. 92 children are waiting.

Anjali & Pratima (Child care worker) they are ministering these children in JESUS name .

E-mail<childinneed2@gmail.com>

Charity School for poor & needy : It is always our heart’s desire to bring & admit the poorest of the poor children , school drop out & child labor because of poverty. Presently we have 6 tutors cum child care workers (Mamata, Shova, Ava, Tonusri, Susoma & Sita ) are giving education & spiritual teachings to the children, those who are from Hindu & Muslim back ground.  We are expecting and our prayer that God will break the chain of poverty from spiritual, economical, social, educational and physical that will build them to become responsible & strong Christian adults.  School children are studying the word of God also.
AIDS CARE : Reaching children affected by HIV/AIDS by responding to the medical, nutritional, educational, economical, emotional and social needs of women, children & family affected by HIV/AIDS, TB & Malaria here in the rural villages.

AIDS CARE has initiated programs that strategically minister among children for care and support for orphans and vulnerable children and women who are made destitute by HIV/AIDS.  Please pray for our Social worker /Care provider (Manasi & Kajal) who visits 26 AIDS affected /infected children regularly by the Christ’s passion to minister with God’s love.  May God continue to provide resources so that we can help them practically & spiritually too. Praying, If we can support each orphan @ month US $20

E-mail<aidscare2@gmail.com>

Orphan’s CRY : Praying & believing God to have a Home for children orphaned by HIV/AIDS.  26 of them are waiting to live with us.  Let every orphan experience God’s unfailing love and knowing Jesus as their Personal Savior.  We are waiting for God’s resources & time.  Surely He will provide the needs to run above ministries.

E-mail<orphanscry2@gmail.com>

Evangelism & Church Fellowship :  Church & different cell groups are going on regularly by a goal set that church members will evangelize their friends & neighbors and cell group leaders will disciple them systematically, that way we will see more growth in our Church.  Praying and believing God in future we will be able to run a “School of evangelism” for our Church members & neighbor church members.  So we can make more evangelists.  Sukuruddin (Muslim man) came to know the Lord with his wife when he was building a Pastor’s house then he was tortured physically by his neighbors & relatives. Then he was backslidden but recently Jayanta made good friendship with him but we discourage him not to come to the Church publicly but we scheduled to meet in different places for discipleship class.  Please pray for Sukuruddin & his wife, time will come they will boldly witness to Muslims.

Alternative Livelihood Project - SHANIRVAR means Self supported:  Presently we are running Tailoring classes & hand made greetings cards to teach women those who are unemployed.  After training they will be self supported by themselves and it is a place for witness Christ what He has done on the cross, surely they will have opportunity to accept Christ as their personal savior.  Presently they are 9 of them.

Women are forced into the flesh trade not by their choice but because of their poverty.

Alternative Livelihood Project has a desire to bring freedom to young girls who would otherwise be at risk of abuse.  After generations of this lifestyle the cycle is broken.  As well as providing the girls with economic freedom, we also endeavor to rebuild their sense of dignity and self worth.  The girls are trained and carefully supervised so that we can give a quality cards.

Thanking you for your kind encouragement, prayers & financial support. Without your support, it will be impossible for us to reach the Lost. Appreciate your great help that will extend God’s kingdom among Hindus & Muslims here in India.  Tulshi & Parboti (Vocational teachers) they are ministering those ladies with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Praise God :

Please adopt A India’s National worker

INDIA’S  CHALLENGE

Diverse of culture, India has about 3090 different people groups of which nearly 2930 remain without a reproducing Church.  About 75% of India’s population lives in approximately 600,000 villages where about 500,000 of them have no Christian witness.

Utilizing Indian workers to reach their own country is an effective way to thrust more workers into God’s harvest.  National workers require less money & no time in language and culture learning.  They also have a deeper understanding of their own people.

You can touch India with God’s love by adopting one of our national workers.

Build A Relationship with A National worker in INDIA

A special benefit to you as you support a national worker is the relationship you share with a frontier worker.  Together, you and your worker can help to proclaim the gospel to people who have not yet heard it.  You can personally link up with one of our staff, serving on India’s vast field.

We want to send you, your worker’s photo & details information when you adopt a national worker who is lacking the necessary US $20 monthly support.  Your investment will help expand the Kingdom of God in India as well as grant you the special privilege of “partnering”.

Your monthly gifts will enable a national worker to train others, to do evangelism and Church planting among the un-reached or perhaps to assist practically through Charity school, mercy ministries such as HIV/AIDS work, primary health care, literacy development, family counseling & Vocational training.

Financial Policy : No staff receives salary, each of our staff responsible for his / her own needs.  Most staff expect to receive support from a home church, friends and family.  Whatever amount is pledged gives the national worker a tremendous encouragement in his/ her effort to spread the gospel.

Multiply your investment into Missions by supporting a national worker US $20 apart of that, “Special project fund” This fund is used to meet our teams ministry needs such as bicycle, Bibles & Christian literature, film projector, generators, office equipment or vital house hold items.

Yours in His service,

Jayanta Maity

Dear Scott,

Thanks for your e-mail with concern & Compassion.  I have been very poor in communication because always I hesitate or feel shy to ask money for the ministry.  Other side ministry suffers financially so much.  Thank you very much Scott, for your great effort to raise money for our ministry.  I believe we will overcome as we are serving Him faithfully.  It is always joy to see the result of our hard labor among Hindus & Muslims.

I have e-mailed you my “testimony”, recent “ministry news letter” & “please adopt our worker” hope it will be enough to post on your web site.  Thanks indeed for your labor too. Your brother,  Jayanta

Here is some info about a good friend and brother in Christ who I went to Rhema Bible Church with in Thailand, while I was going to Rhema Bible Training Center also. His name is Tony Webb, and he has a wife and 3 children. He is probably the most famous street preacher in Thailand.

Bangkok Nightlife

Meet Brother Tony, Nana Plaza’s Nighttime Evangelist

Brother Tony in Action If exposing oneself to an onslaught of public ridicule were a well-paid profession, Brother Tony would be the richest man in Bangkok. If you’ve seen this fire-and-brimstone evangelist delivering his sermons at the front of Nana Entertainment Plaza on his frequent, but unscheduled appearances, you won’t soon forget him. With his crew cut, short white shirt, black tie, and ever-present Bible, Brother Tony is a throwback to the American tent-preacher, and he’s rarely the only one speaking, as punters hurl epithets, Thai bouncers get in his face, and bar girls watch with bemused expressions, wondering if this is just some sort of new-fangled American theatre.

Born James Anthony Webb, Brother Tony is the son of a Vietnamese mom and a US Army Ranger/Green Beret who founded Special Forces Combatives. Tony was raised in Bangkok. After graduating from the International School of Bangkok in 1992, he started boxing Muai Thai on Thai television fighting for 12 years under the fight name of “Tony Sasiprapa-gym.” His original plan was to move back to the U.S. to open a Muay Thai gym. That all changed when he became a Believer.

Once he found his calling as a preacher, he vowed to preach “on the streets, in parks, in churches, in drug rehabs, in prisons, in temples, in mosques, and even in some Jewish synagogues.” He is not affiliated with any church or organized religion, and lives what amounts to a hand-to-mouth existence, depending on the occasional donation. He notes: “As we preach the word of God, we witness all sorts of reactions from Thais, Americans, Africans, Europeans, Arabs, Jews, and Gentiles. I have had guns, knives, sticks, fists, broken bottles, and axes pulled on me before. Plus, I have had just about everything that you can imagine thrown at me. But we love it.”

Like many a punter, he lives the life he wants, enjoying the world that is the maelstrom of nightlife in Bangkok, contributing to the character of a city unique in the universe. (Source: http://www.thaioasis.com/nightlife/brothertony.php)
